The Pogne de Romans has been kneaded and moulded here since 1892. Four generations of avid bakers have repeated the process and kept this tradition alive. This brioche’s history dates back to the Middle Ages. At that time, every family baked their own pastries at Easter to mark the end of Lent. These days, the brioche reigns supreme at the Pascalis Bakery and stands proudly, fair and golden, under the admiring gaze of foodies, waiting to be eaten. Soft and moist with a delicate hint of orange flower, the Pogne de Romans is enjoyed at breakfast or teatime, no holding back.
